Our Hospital
Monrovia Memorial Hospital is a completely refurbished, 49 bed fully licensed and accredited acute care hospital at the base of the San Gabriel Mountains. Nestled in a quiet residential neighborhood, Monrovia Memorial Hospital offers a rare combination of both peaceful atmosphere and high level medical care.
Three years ago a small group of investors saw the potential and need for a community hospital here in Monrovia. The vision was to provide exceptional, compassionate and unparalleled care to the surrounding population. After countless hours of precision planning and development, Monrovia Memorial Hospital officially opened its doors in October of 2008. Today, consistently earning our reputation as a center of excellence, Monrovia Memorial Hospital is a valued community resource and high level employer for the city of Monrovia.
Our expert physicians and staff specialize in treating medically complex patients, whose illnesses usually require a longer hospital stay than at most general acute care facilities. Patient’s rooms are designed to be comfortable and easily accommodate visitors and family. Each room is equipped with a wide array of patient monitoring and therapeutic systems which allow our staff to provide excellent, timely care. Four ICU beds are fully prepared for those patients requiring the highest level of care. Two state-of-the-art Operating Rooms facilitate our surgeries which range from simple procedures to more advanced spinal surgeries and joint replacements. We are a special hospital where people come first and where technology meets compassion
At Monrovia Memorial Hospital, we are here for you and yours. Whether you are a patient or loved one, being admitted to a hospital can be a very emotional and trying experience. Our family here at Monrovia will always strive to make your hospital stay as pleasant as possible. Patient Care is our number one priority.

Health Care Facilities Accreditation Program (HFAP)
Healthcare Facilities Accreditation Program (HFAP) is one of only three national voluntary accreditation programs authorized by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) to survey hospitals for compliance with the Medicare Conditions of Participation and Coverage.
Originally created in 1945 to conduct an objective review of services provided by hospitals, HFAP has maintained its certification authority continuously since the inception of CMS in 1965 and meets or exceeds the standards required by CMS.
In addition to this authority from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), HFAP also is recognized by:
- National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA)
- Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME)
- State departments of public health

Case Managers
Yeg A – LVN
Noelle W. – RN
Don M. – RN
Seema S. – MSW
Our Case Managers evaluate patients based on specific health criteria, to determine if they should be admitted to Monrovia Memorial Hospital. All of our patients are referred to our hospital by physician order only. We specialize in providing our patients with a high level of multidisciplinary care; therefore, we only admit and treat patients with medically complex conditions.
Case Managers are our patient advocates. As such, they are looking out for the patient’s best interests. The Case Manager’s primary job is to communicate directly with patients, their families and physicians to determine if Monrovia Memorial Hospital is the very best place to handle the patient’s care.
